TC Cares
Community Outreach Program
“… This is the greatest commandment, love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and love your neighbor as yourself.”
Matthew 22:36-39
At the center of Christianity is loving God and our neighbors. One way we can show love for others is to serve them and sacrifice for them. At Toledo Christian, we live this out through our TC Cares Outreach. There are three elements that make up TC Cares:
TC Cares Days
Our high school students take a day of school each semester to go out and serve the community on TC Cares Days. Since their inception in the fall of 2009, we have helped over 54 organizations, involved over 13,000 students & adult volunteers, and donated over 28,000 service hours.
Casual 4 a Cause
Twice a month TC holds a $2 “Casual 4 a Cause” Day, allowing us to support not only local organizations, but also national organizations such as: Convoy of Hope, Toledo NWO Foodbank, Community of Hope, Tim Tebow Foundation, Proclaim FM, WLMB TV-40, Hannah’s Socks, and many more.
Special Circumstances
Our community regularly comes together to support families facing tragic circumstances. Whether it is a death, a fire, an illness, or some other tragedy, several times a year the TC Community is involved in various benefits to help others who are hurting.
