House Mentoring Program

House Mentoring Program

The House Program was started to create a stronger community among the students by encouraging interpersonal relationships and to provide students with leadership opportunities.

The Toledo Christian House Mentoring Program is a vital part of our high school experience in that it creates caring communities through small groups. There are eight houses in total, each house has a biblical theme that is tied to one of our TC core values. Each house has about about 20 students with a mixture of 9th -12th graders and three leaders, two house captains and one house chaplain. House meets for 15 minutes each day. We have a full calendar of events to provide many different opportunities for each house to thrive through activities, competitions, devotions, house chapels, and service projects like TC Cares.  House Captains and Chaplains work together to organize and implement activities and events designed to lead their house members to a greater love for God and for each other, as they seek opportunities to serve the community. Captains are encouraged to love like Jesus, and to make their house a second home for the students they are serving.

"The House Program to me was a family.  I was able to learn and grow spiritually with my fellow peers. It taught me how to be a better leader and follower in Christ. I had countless laughs and made unforgettable memories while volunteering or playing games. The House Program was a way for me to connect with everyone and show my love for my school and faith!"
