Frequently Asked Questions

 Attending an Open House allows for you to engage in rich discussions, learn about our academic and extra-curricular programs, hear about our mission/vision, and tour our campus. Toledo Christian Open Houses are held twice a year, in the fall and in the winter.
Click here to schedule to be an Eagle for Day.  Our Eagle for a Day Shadow Program provides the prospective student with a unique opportunity to become acquainted with student-life at Toledo Christian.  Visiting students will be matched with a current student based on grade level and interests, and will shadow their host through the school day.

Toledo Christian partners with Christian families.  Families are required to attend church on a regular basis and both students and parents should agree with the school’s vision, mission and support Christian education. 
 
 
Toledo Christian seeks students who demonstrate academic excellence, motivation, and bring tangible benefits to the greater Eagle student body. Students should be well-rounded with consideration being based on their grades, test scores, extra-curricular activities and pastoral recommendation. 
Toledo Christian has a rolling application process. Because there are limited spots available in each grade, it is to a student’s advantage to apply as early as possible.
Incoming students are placed in honors classes based on their honors testing results. Testing is proctored after enrollment is finalized.

Variable Tuition is a need-based tuition assistance program. This program allows families to apply for reduced tuition that is right for their family’s financial situation. This makes an education at Toledo Christian affordable to many qualified students who could not otherwise attend TC. As a result, our students represent a broad range of socio-economic backgrounds, enhancing the learning experience for every Toledo Christian student.
Preschool students must be 3 by August 31. PreKindergarten students must be 4 by August 31. Kindergarten students must be 5 by August 31.

The busing information you provide when you enroll is passed along to each school district, but you will need to contact the public school district for your area to request transportation for your student(s). Some districts have a request form posted on their website. Each school district is responsible for planning their district’s bus route and providing the specific routes to students living in that area. If you have a bus route question or need to know your student’s specific bus schedule, please contact your public school district directly.

Anthony Wayne Local School District

Free yellow bus service to and from TC. No bus pass required. Parents must contact the Anthony Wayne Transportation Department to get students on the roster (419-877-0451). 

Maumee City School District

Maumee City Schools does not provide bus service to Toledo Christian. You may choose to receive reimbursement from the school district for arranging your own transportation. Maumee Transportation can be reached at 419-893-1392.

Oregon City School District

Transportation is not available.

Perrysburg City School District

Free yellow bus service to and from TC. No bus pass required. Parents must contact the Perrysburg Transportation Department to get students on the roster (419-874-3127).

Rossford Public School District

Free yellow bus service to and from TC. No bus pass required. Parents must contact The Rossford Transportation Department to get students on the roster (419-666-8695).

Springfield Local School District

Transportation is not available. Parents residing in this district are eligible to apply for “payment in lieu of”. A letter must be sent to the Springfield Transportation Department. The letter must include student name, grade, address, city, phone, parent name and the school the student is attending. The form is available on Springfield Local School’s website.

Swanton Local School District

Transportation is not available.

Sylvania City School District

Free bus service (contracted with TLC Transit by Sylvania Schools) to and from TC. No bus pass required. Parents must contact Sylvania’s Transportation Department to get students on the roster (419-824-8686).

Toledo Public School District

Rogers High School district is the only TPS school district that provides yellow bus service to TC. If you are in the Rogers district, contact the TPS Transportation Department to get students on the roster (419-671-8541). TARTA bus service is offered for many of the other Toledo districts. TARTA bus passes are provided free of charge. Parents/guardians must fill out a TPS Request for Transportation form to receive the yellow bus service or a TARTA bus pass.  The link for this form can be found in Eagle Access. Go to the Resource tab in Eagle Access – forms – TPS Transportation Form. There you will find the link to the TPS website. The form can be found under the Parochial and Charter School section on the left side of the page. To determine which TARTA school route runs near you, contact TARTA at (419) 725-5291. Students in the TPS District who attend a private school that is 2+ miles away from their home, and cannot get bus service via the yellow bus or TARTA, may be eligible to receive a transportation reimbursement. To apply for the transportation reimbursement you will complete the Request for Transportation form and contact TPS at (419-671-8541). Forms are to be completed and returned to the TPS Transportation Department by the deadline of September 30.

Washington Local School District

Transportation is not available. Parents residing in this district are eligible to apply for “payment in lieu of”. Contact the Washington Local Transportation Department at 419-475-8153.

We provide a list of students in each transporting district, but the public school districts need to receive requests directly from parents before they will place a student on a route. Please check with your local school district for specific schedules and bus routes. The school districts listed above will only transport students within their school district. (If student “A” is going home with student “B”, and does not live in that school district, they will not be allowed to ride the bus that student “B” rides on.) Yes. However due to our rigorous course requirements for graduation, we evaluate transfer students on a case-by-case basis.
