Eagle's Nest

“The developmental foundation of a classical education is the cultivation of wonder and an appreciation for language ... through an early love of language, numbers, and books.” - Simply Classical Level B Curriculum Manual

The Eagle’s Nest early learners, preschool, and pre-kindergarten programs work together to plant seeds; we aim to cultivate in every child a love for God and His creation. Our overarching goals are to instill excellent habits, foster curiosity and imagination, provide meaningful lessons, tasks, and instruction, and nurture the students' understanding of our Heavenly Father and His will for us.

Our New Home

EN Building

Eagle's Nest students have a new home as of the Fall of 2024!  We are conveniently located just down the road from the main TC campus, at 4023 Beverly Drive, Toledo, OH (situated on the corner of Anthony Wayne Trail and Copland Boulevard).

Our new building is dedicated to TC's littlest eagles and provides them daily opportunities to play, learn, and grow together in a safe and secure environment.

We would love to give you and your family a tour of our new building. Register Here for a Tour!

Curriculum

Our classical curriculum focuses on nurturing the imagination of students, initiating thoughtful conversations, and strengthening their faith. It has been carefully developed to equip children with excellent habits and the skills to apply them effectively.  We focus on gently maturing their character, attentiveness, diligence, motor skills, and self-control.  Our goals are simple: to introduce students to the joy of learning and the satisfaction that comes with a job well done.

Eagle’s Nest students are uniquely prepared for a phonics-based kindergarten program.  Our teachers work diligently to ensure they are “reading ready” and academically mature.

ACCSThe Grammar Stage (PK - 6) of the Classical Christian education involves memorization of basic facts about a subject and is taught to younger children who naturally love to chant, recite, and memorize.

Scheduling Options

Structure, routine, and careful organization of the schedule are considered vital components in the development of a child’s independence and responsibility. We offer flexible options that cater to the needs of children and the values of each family. Half-day (8:05 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) and full-day (8:05 a.m. - 2:50 p.m.) options are available, along with before- and after-care.

What do we do in the Eagle's Nest?

During their school day, children engage in experiences that foster their cognitive, physical, behavioral, and spiritual needs. They interact intentionally with their teachers, peers, and the environment through a variety of activities that promote fine and gross motor development, creative expression, social intelligence, language and number sense maturation, as well as participation in Art, Music, and Physical Education classes. Children are introduced to God’s Word through daily Bible lessons and verse memorization, and to a relationship with Him through worship and prayer.
