Speech Meet
The TC Elementary Speech Meet is a competition designed “to help students develop techniques to speak audibly, articulately, expressively, and with poise in an audience situation.” It is also meant to develop communication skills that will contribute to effective Christian leadership. All elementary students in Grades 1-6 are required to memorize a selection for the Speech Meet. Each student is given a grade, as per teacher guidelines, for their hard work.
Finalist students from Grades 1 - 6 presented their selections before a panel of judges on March 8, 2021. The students who received "superior" ribbons were then given an opportunity to present their selections before the student body during the awards ceremonies.
