Volunteer Policies

Each TCS Family is required to work 20 services hours per year.

Volunteer hours are counted from July 1st until June 30th of the following year. On July 1st all volunteer hours are reset to zero and counting for the new year begins.

Twenty additional hours are required for families who receive Scholarships or Financial aid (This does not include Ed Choice families)

If mandatory hours are not met, families will be charged $10 for each hour not served.

Monetary donations (i.e. team meals, class party expenses, etc.) will be credited at $10 per hour.

Effective immediately, TCS families can no longer donate hours to other families. The TCS Administration team believes it is imperative that all families "connect" with TCS and serving at the school is an important part of making that connection. They believe that twenty hours (20) is easily attainable via serving through your student's classes and/or extra-curricular events. Any immediate or extended family members may serve on behalf of the TCS family. Other opportunities for parents not able to serve of their time allow the purchase of items needed for class parties, team meals, etc.

Realizing that there are extreme circumstances for some of our families that prohibit serving, exemptions to this policy can only be granted through permission received by the Administration via written request.
